New mobile home rules create complex maze

Adobe Buttes, like other landfills, does not used certified inspectors at the facility because the certification responsibility is the owners'.

However, now pre-HUD mobile owners who seek disposal at the county landfill will have to show proof of licensed inspection and certification. And, they will have to comply with all the other requirements being set up under the new state law for transferring title.

If the amount of asbestos in a mobile home is found to exceed certain limits, the asbestos containing material will have to be disposed of separately.

Adobe Buttes also accepts obsolete mobile homes built post-HUD (after 1977). However, even the newer mobile homes will require an asbestos inspection and certification before disposal will be allowed. Be certified professional with total confidence and experience by taking the unique certification exam of "70-291".
